Ben a worthy winner

Johnson Park all rounder Ben Stallworthy won his first Jack Feaver Medal for the best and fairest player in the Ferntree Gully & District Cricket Association for season 2013/14.   The winner polled 18 votes awarded by the umpires in 8 of the 13 rounds played to win by three votes from Eildon Park’s Kyle Snyman on 15 votes.

 

Third was Knox Gardens opening batsman Shannon Small on 14.      Stallworthy, 28, started his cricket as a junior at Johnson Park before playing 35 first X1 matches with premier clubs Hawthorn Monash and Casey South Melbourne before returning to the Sharks.
