Junior Section Manager

OBJECTIVE:

  • Oversee the junior development program of the Club.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish a subcommittee of interested parents and other members to monitor and ensure the junior teams within the Club have the best competition, support and facilities possible to ensure all junior players develop their skills.

  • Develop/review Club Junior Development policy annually and seek endorsement of any change of policy from the General Committee.

  • Develop a budget for the junior operations to be ratified by the General Committee.

  • Arrange “Meet the Coach” day and ensure written invitations are sent to existing and potential players.

  • In conjunction with the Secretary, negotiate all clearances and player registrations in accordance with the rules of the Competition.

  • Ensure all equipment is available as required by Coaches and that it is in good working order – including match balls.

  • Ensure all support staff are in attendance and are provided with appropriate equipment to undertake role.

  • Coordinate return of all equipment to storage area and organize cleaning of change rooms after training and games.

  • Ensure Club equipment is retained by the Club.

  • Ensure all injured players are provided with or transported to appropriate medical treatment as per parent wishes and provide a record of the incident to the Secretary for insurance records.

  • Ensure all players pay memberships and other required payments on time.

  • Represent the Club at the League on matters involving the junior competition.

  • Attend Committee meetings every month (if necessary).

  • Keep a record of all players/team scores.

  • Be the contact person for enquiries about Junior Competitions.

  • Be the contact person for other clubs.

  • Register all players as they play.

  • Liaise between players and coaches and the General Committee.

  • Liaise with Club coaches and senior players to promote involvement in the junior program.

  • Conduct the Junior Blast and Master Blast programs.

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to the President and General Committee.

  • Supports the Junior Coaches, match committee and support staff.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • The Junior Coordinator is accountable to the President and the General Committee.

  • The Junior Coordinator shall seek ratification from the General Committee of a budget and associated activities and shall thereafter have the authority to act within the limits of the budget without reference to the General Committee.

  • The Junior Coordinator shall provide a monthly report to the General Committee.

The estimated time commitment required as the Junior Coordinator is up to 3 hours per week.

OBJECTIVE:

  • The Sponsorship Manager is responsible for ensuring the Club makes the most of sponsorship opportunities hence raising the largest amount of sponsorships to enable the club to meet budgets.

  • Sponsorship is also an excellent opportunity to engage and obtain support from and contribute back to local community businesses.

  • A Sponsorship Manager is appointed for their potential to make real and specific contributions to contribute financially to and present the culture of the Club to the broader community.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Identify potential sponsors of the Johnson Park Cricket Club.

  • To develop and implement a sponsorship proposal and strategy to maximise the number of sponsors supporting the Club and generate revenue via cash, vouchers or goods.

  • Ensure all existing sponsors are contacted three months prior to the season commencement.

  • To manage the relationship between the Club and sponsors to ensure that sponsor commitments are achieved and serviced to a high level ensuring retention on a long term basis.

  • To provide support to the Committee to ensure the efficient management of Club sponsorship activities.

  • Manage the relationship including regular contact between the Club and sponsors to ensure that the contract obligations are implemented and achieved and the sponsor serviced to a high level ensuring retention on a long term basis.

  • The Sponsorship Manager shall seek ratification from the Committee on sponsorship packages offered by the Club and shall thereafter have the authority to act within the limits of the packages.

  • Seek ratification from the Treasurer and Committee prior to committing the Club to any financial expenditure or action.

  • Meet the sponsorship budget target set as part of the annual financial planning process.

Sponsorship Manager

OBJECTIVE:

  • The Bar Manager is responsible for the managing the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals. Rostering RSA Trained members and arranging training to provide excellent service to patrons.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • The Bar manager will be responsible for the purchase of alcohol for the club.

  • Will ensure the bar is stocked for training nights, match days and functions.

  • Will work with the Treasurer to make sure all costs are covered by the sale price of drinks.

  • Will request floats and make sure processes are followed for managing cash and that the Treasurer receives money for banking.

  • Will assist with the applications for liquor licences as required.

  • Will ensure compliance with liquor licencing in accordance with Licence and Temporary Licences.

  • Will ensure compliance with Knox Council Seasonal Tenancy agreement.

  • Report bar sales status to the Club Committee as requested.

  • Organise the bar roster.

  • Keep and display a record of all member holding an RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol).

  • Prepare a purchasing spreadsheet showing all stock items and costs.

  • Purchasing spreadsheet to be produced on a weekly bases to enable stock ordering and control.

  • Bar manager and Treasurer to approve all stock orders.

  • To regularly attend meetings and social functions.

  •  Organise a purchasing arrangement as required for stock required on short notice.

Bar Manager

OBJECTIVE:

  • The Social Manager is responsible for setting out the Club’s social calendar for the season.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Identify key club functions ensuring there is enough spread throughout the season but not too many that will over crowd the social calendar.

  • Work with the committee to identify which events have worked best in the past and also which annual social events must be included in the social calendar.

  • The club is NOT always looking to raise funds through social events, first and foremost you need to ensure that social events are fun, provide good entertainment and a great social atmosphere to be around. (Get them coming back and spreading the word for future events).

  • Work with Captains to maximize player involvement in putting together and running events.

  • Work with Sponsorship Manager to best utilize Sponsors products and services that may be used to host social events, provide food or beverages for events or provide gifts, give-aways or prizes that can be utilized at social events.

  • Work with Social Media Coordinator to maximise exposure to club members and the local community of upcoming social events.

Social Manager

OBJECTIVE:

  • The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for promoting the Club and its activities to its members, supporters and broader community.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Oversee the club website optimising promotion of cricket to the community.

  • Monitor any changing needs required on IT platforms used by the club.

  • Encourage contributions from members to social media platforms.

  • Moderate any contributions to social media platforms in line with club policy.

  • Represent the club at local and regional levels.

  • Act as a promoter of all club activities.

  • Seek out weekly match results from captains for distribution to FTGDCA and club website.

  • Oversee the ‘Team App’ as a communication tool.

  • Maintain the mycricket website and keep all information up-to-date.

  • Place regular news items on website.

  • Update photos and menu items when necessary.

  • Liaise with club committee members and coaches regarding information to place on website.

  • Oversee the clubs electronic scoreboard operation.

Social Media Coordinator
Merchandising Manager

 

OBJECTIVE:

  • To coordinate and communicate with the clubs various apparel suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Juniors

  • Oversee the buying of various club items as required for each season.

  • Work with the Treasurer in collecting and accounting for all monies collected for items.

  • Oversee the provision to all junior players of club tops for game day playing.

Seniors

  • The Merchandising Manager will ensure that the club is stocked with club clothing for players.

  • They will organize the purchase of player apparel from suppliers and supervise its distribution.

  • Ensure all money collected is accounted for and passed onto the Treasurer.

  • Report apparel status to the club executive as requested.

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to the President and Treasurer.

Assistant Secretary / Delegate

 

OBJECTIVE:

  • To provide support to the Secretary to help ensure the efficient administration of the Club.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Perform the Secretary’s duties in the event they are unavailable for any scheduled meetings

  • Be the Johnson Park Cricket Club representative Senior Delegate to attend the FTGDCA Senior Delegates meeting. .

  • Attend Senior Delegates meeting at Upwey Cricket Club when schedules (4 Times per season).

  • Report back to club committee member and coaches via email and at the Club monthly meeting.

Canteen Manager

 

OBJECTIVE:

  • To provide good quality Food and Beverages for players and supporters on game days and training nights.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintain a clean canteen environment that meets OH&S standards.

  • Ensure the canteen is registered with the Knox Council and attend council annual inspection.

  • Maintain Stock levels so as to provide for expected canteen demands.

  • Maintain excellent quality controls.

  • Prepare a canteen roster.

  • Prepare canteen on game days with assistance of rostered canteen assistants including afternoon teas for home teams.

  • Make sure the canteen is manned at all times.

  • Work with the Treasurer to make sure there is an adequate float and all money taken on game day is given to the Treasurer for banking.

OBJECTIVE:

  • The Facilities Manager ensures that the club has the most suitable environment for its members and their activities.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Health and safety, Ensure building, Field, Nets, Bowling Machine and equipment are in safe working order.

  • Make sure that equipment is replaced when needed.

  • Make sure all equipment is put away after training and games.

  • To source and purchase all cricket supplies required.

  • Attend all Committee meetings.

  • Report all maintenance requirements to Committee with assigned priority and associated costs.

  • Ensure playing field is prepared for play (includes the boundary and pitch marking of ground at the start of the days play).

  • Authority to enforce decisions made by the Committee.

  • Obtain quotes for works required that are outside of the budgetary constraint.

  • Liaise with the Knox Council regarding any works to be performed by the council.

  • To determine the state of grounds for safe play.

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to the President and Committee.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of cricket field dimensions, pitch markings, restrictive fielding circles for purpose of line-marking.

Facility Manager

 

OBJECTIVE:

  • To provide support to the President, Executive and other General Committee members to ensure the efficient operation of the Club.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • To assist the President and Executive in their duties as required.

  • Undertake tasks at the request of the President or Executive.

  • Attend monthly club committee meetings.

  • Participate in discussions and decision making of the committee.
